Making good on a New Year’s resolution, for once

How many of us actually see through those promises we make to ourselves at the beginning of a new year?  I may actually fulfill one this year.  Back in January, I decided to make it a goal to read a book a week, on average.  So far I’m doing pretty well.

I’ve been keeping my reading log in Visual Bookshelf on Facebook, but Facebook isn’t working so well lately, even on the VPN.  I’ve decided to switch to Good Reads to keep track of what I’ve read, and if you like to read I hope you’ll follow me over there at my profile.

What good books have you read lately?

  1. Try “Peace Like a River”
How about “A Thousand Splendid Suns”

  2. I read the second one. What’s the first one and who is the author?

    • Peace Like a River is by Leif Enger

It’s about a family, told through the eyes of an 11 year old asthmatic boy. Similar to To Kill a Mockingbird in style, but filled with lots more. I think you would like it. It’s a deeper read, but fun at the same time.
